Go On The Offensive

Today you are in the midst of a spiritual battle.  Your enemy, Satan, is working hard to knock you out.  A jab here, a body blow there.   The onslaught of continual sin – your own, others sin against you, the sins of the world (accidents, injuries, illnesses) can affect the strongest Believer.

It’s not enough to remain stagnant in our current condition and just defend against Satan and his attacks.  We are commanded to walk, grow, go, follow, seek, practice, persist, persevere, and pursue; all as we bring the Gospel to a lost world.  We are commanded to change.  And as we take the battle forward in His wisdom and strength we will be blessed in growing in Him and knowing all that He has done for us – and all of it has been done out of love.

So take up your weapon

Ephesians 6:17b – and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,

Hebrews 4:12 – For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Jeremiah 23:29 – Is not my word like fire, declares the Lord, and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?

And be filled and strengthened by the Holy Spiritking-sigma-wasylko-nikon-72743-medium

John 14:26 – But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

John 15:7 – If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

Which will increase your faith

Hebrews 11:1 – Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

2 Corinthians 5:7 – for we walk by faith, not by sight.

1 John 5:4 – For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

And assure you of the victory

Romans 8:37 – No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

1 Corinthians 15:57 – But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 2:14 – But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere.

Both today and evermore

1 Peter 4:19 – Therefore let those who suffer according to God’s will entrust their souls to a faithful Creator while doing good.

Revelation 14:12 – Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.

Psalm 31:5 – Into your hand I commit my spirit; you have redeemed me, O Lord, faithful God.
